Random: Chestnut's First Day of School
I've always wanted to be a Trojan. Everyday I have to see all my roommates go onto campus, and leave me at home. When I wake up every morning, my only goal is get out of the house and go to school with my friends. I'll wake up, eat my breakfast, and go to the bathroom in the front yard. Next, I beg my friends to take me with them to school. But it never happens. So I wait.. until everyone gets home, then I try again the next day, and the next day.
However, today was different, I opened my eyes and I see my roommate packing up his stuff, I wonder if today is going to be the day I finally get to go to school. As usual, he puts on his backpack and walks toward the door, then something magical happened. He grabbed my leash and petted me on the head, then he said "Come on!" I can't believe this is happening, we are actually walking away from our usual route. I have no idea what is about to come, but I am very excited about this adventure. So, we continued on our walk, we passed by a huge fountain and a majestic white horse, thats doesn't like to move. My roommate stopped and started talking to strangers. I needed to access their threat level, so I preceded to sniff all of them. They were really nice actually, we took some cool videos and we moved on. We walked a little bit further then we entered into a building. I didn't have time to tell him I had to pee, but it was too late, we had arrived in this small classroom. There were a lot of people in there. At first I really needed to go to the bathroom, but I was distracted by all these strangers. Again, I had to make sure that they are not dangerous. I didn't found any suspicious activity, however, I found some sandwiches in a bag. I sat by the backpack and made direct eye contact with the owner of the sandwich. My puppy sad eyes tactic didn't charm this guy, he refuses to share his sandwich with me. After I finish my rounds, I didn't know what to do. I can't pee in front of all these people, and my roommate hates it when I pee on carpet, plus I really miss my toys. I want to go home, school is not what I thought it was!

I think it's cool that you wrote as if you were Chestnut. I have two little dogs myself and I sometimes wonder what they would say if they could talk.

ReplyDeleteI love how you wrote from Chestnut's perspective. I really enjoyed having her in class the other day. The closest thing I get to seeing my dog is having him as my computer background.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome and entertaining to read. You could definitely see his excitement when he came into our class and it was so fun having him walk around and trying to see how he thinks just like you spoke from his perspective in the blog post.
ReplyDeleteThis was a awesome post, it is very cool to see the school day from your dogs perspective and how excited he was to spend the school day with you. I wish I had brought food with me or a tennis ball so Chestnut could have had a better time!
