World We Imagine Part 3

Chestnut against animal abuse/ abandonment non profit organization  Chestnut Non Profit is an organization that helps the animal in needs at this very fast past society. As the population grew and condense into cities, more and more animals don't have have the space to live and enjoy their life. We vouch to take in any animals that need our assistance. Instead of killing them like the shelters, we would provide a large space and guarantee their safety. Located 2 hours outside of Los Angeles, CNP has the capability to host large amount of animals with room to spare.  Not only does CNP accept any type of animals in any conditions, we also have in house veterinarians to treat all kinds of creature. This is a space of peace and safety for animals in Southern California. Imagine the farm upstate where people always say they "gave away" their animals. Instead of using this phrase as a saying, the farm where animals can be happy actually exists!

A World We Dare To Imagine Part 1

As the world slowly emerge into one global village, I've had the privileges to be a part of several different cultures with different races of people. It had always been an interest of mine to learn from each unique group of people. We should always be thinking of others' perspective and treat each individuals with respect and keep an open mind toward anyone. Despite the color of the skin and the thickness of their wallet, human beings share this world together and we should try to help one and another. The way to change the world starts with the small adjustment everyone makes and it will eventually leads to a new way of thinking. If we can see things through other's perspective then we may learn the hardship they have gone through and realize why the situation is as severe as today, then finally find a way to make the situation better. My first step would be encouraging all my friends to think before they place their judgments.

Born on Third Base

Rebalance of the society's attribution goes hand in hand with the distribution of wealth. Chuck Collins made some excellent arguments about the transition of society's wealth to build a better and more equal world. Chuck's ideology required the wealthy to step up and make action to change the society. As part of the top 1%, when chuck received his inheritance at the age of 26, he decided to donate most of his possession and dedicated his time to work on the unequal problems. I really admire Chuck's dedication toward solving the problem. According to him, the world would not change for the better, if the riches wouldn't share their wealth with the society. I didn't finish the book, but I agree with all Chuck said in the book so far. This book may be the key to encourage the wealthy to support others and get involve with the transition.

Not knowing what I signed up for, my friends persuaded me to purchase a last minute ticket and off I went to a 3 days festival at San Bernardino. As a festival virgin,  I did not know what to expect or what to bring to the event. All I had packed in my duffle  bag were three outfits and my toothbrush. Although I was extremely underprepared, I still fell in love with the beauty of festival. The beauty of escaping reality fascinated my imagination. I started to wonder if there are better ways to enjoy the festivities…   As festival becomes more popular among the millennials generation, more and more people are attending the festivity for the first time. This articles will provide a few ways to improve the overall experience through these three categories:  Pre...

Growing a Farmer Pt.2

Overall this book was a pretty interesting read. Even though I do not see my future to have anything to do with agriculture, I still see the relevant of our daily life with a small town farm. Timmermestier continued to include all his past experience as examples of different challenges he had failed, learned and overcame. He stumble into the life of a farmer and slowly grows into a full-time, professional farmer. I particularly liked the fowl chapter. I grew up in Taiwan, and there are always lots of chicken around, so I am pretty familiar with the animal. However, this chapter continue to surprises me with different facts of a chicken. For example, the social ranking of different batches of chickens will cause them to peak each other to death was pretty interesting. I didn't know that chickens would shut down after sundown and become absolutely incoherent with its environment.
